My Story
I am a proud product of public schools in the greater Cleveland area of Ohio. Inspired by my mother’s work as a speech-language pathologist, I was drawn to helping professions from an early age. At The Ohio State University, I discovered my passion for school psychology and completed my training (Go Buckeyes!).
Personally and professionally, I prioritize lifelong learning, reflection, and being of service. My professional journey has given me the opportunity to serve students in Ohio, Georgia, and California for over fifteen years. In these spaces, I’ve partnered with families and other educators to support children across the spectrum of neurodiversity in traditional public, public charter, and independent/private schools.
Most recently, I served as school psychologist and senior administrator at Mirman School in Bel Air, California for four years. There, my work was specifically focused on the unique needs of the gifted and twice-exceptional (2e). In addition to providing mental health services and building sustainable systems of support, I presented at gifted-centered state, national, and international conferences. This opportunity represented a full-circle moment, as I benefited from gifted and talented programming during my formative years.
What has remained constant throughout my career is a commitment to promoting a more inclusive and equitable world. Guided by the words of Dr. Charles A. Barrett, “It’s always about the children,” I strive to be a positive force of change each day.
I invite you to connect and learn more about how my presentations, evaluations, advocacy, counseling, and empowerment services can help you and the children in your life. Let’s soar together!
